Fisher River Park features 4 miles of hiking trails near Mount Airy, NC. <br />
The trail switches between exhilarating singletrack and wide open fire roads. There are quite a bit of ups and downs throughout the trail. For the most part this trail stays within the shelter of the woods, but at one point it does lead you up to a beautiful mountain top.<br />
This trail is a multi-use trail and has become very popular among mountain bikers, so please use caution on the trail.

Directions

From Mount Airy or I-77, get off at the Hwy 89 exit and head north towards Galax. After @ 3 miles, you will see a sign "Fisher River Park" pointing to a road on the left. This will turn into Prison Camp Road. Go @ 5-6 miles. After you pass the state's parking lot, you will enter a long right hand curve. Fisher River Park will be on your right. The parking lot for the Mountain Bike Trail is about a 1/4 mile up the road. The trail head is directly in front of the parking lot.
